How did you discover KSA?
KSA posted an internship on our UVA job listing network. After doing a little research, I applied for the internship after seeing all the positive comments about KSA

Why KSA?
KSA has a reputation for being a great consulting firm with amenable people. I thought working for a firm that does retail consulting would provide for a rather
interesting summer at least, and maybe lead to a career.

What was the internship application process like?
The overall process was actually kind of fun, though no one warns you that you have a take a test! That was a little intimidating. The cases [LINK] were fun, and it was great to go to New York to interview and meet people.

What are your expectations?
I expect to come out of this summer with a greater knowledge of retail consulting and the consulting field in general, and to have more of a direction for my future career.

What type of client project(s) are you currently assigned to and what is your role?
I am currently assigned to a sourcing improvement project for a clothing retailer.

What have you learned from your experience interning at KSA?
I am entering my third week at KSA. I first learned that dawn on June 2 was at 5:52 a.m. (new fact). In my three weeks here, I’ve learned a great deal about product sourcing and manufacturing abroad, and the importance of researching and understanding the capabilities of each individual country and its respective manufacturers.

How do you feel this opportunity has enhanced your career?
My career has really yet to begin. I would predict that by the end of my tenure here, however, I will definitely have a greater knowledge of consulting and a greater platform from which to start.

Do you believe consulting is the right job for you? Why?
I still think it is too early to tell, but as of now, yes. I enjoy the interaction with people, the search for opportunities, and being able to see many aspects of a business interact and come together.
