KSA is proud to participate in charitable and non-profit events and activities that inspire, lead, and enrich the lives of our associates and the communities we serve.

Junior Achievement
KSA Principals provide continuous participation on the Junior Achievement of Georgia Board of Directors. In addition to executive support, more than 50 volunteers from KSA's Atlanta office have participated in the Junior Achievement (JA) program since 1999, reaching hundreds of middle school students. Last fall, for example, more than a dozen KSA volunteers taught a global marketplace curriculum to seventh graders. The semester-long course provided practical information about the key aspects of the global economy, what makes world trade work, and how trade affects students’ daily lives. Volunteers said they gained a stronger appreciation for full-time educators and discovered the impact a volunteer can make on a child’s life.

March of Dimes
KSA is a committed supporter of the March of Dimes, a national organization that works to prevent birth defects, infant mortality, and premature births. Since 1938, the March of Dimes has carried out its mission to save babies’ lives through research, community service, education, and advocacy. To help raise funds for this program, the March of Dimes holds an annual WalkAmerica fundraiser. A formal corporate campaign is held each year in KSA’s Atlanta office to encourage participation and donations through various in-office events.

New York Cares
Interested employees in the New York office have completed the volunteer training program for New York Cares, an organization that creates more than 2,000 opportunities Clean upeach month for volunteers to serve on flexibly-scheduled, team-based service projects that are coordinated in partnership with schools, social service agencies, and environmental groups. Participating in hands-on projects, New York Cares volunteers tutor children, feed the hungry, assist people living with HIV/AIDS, revitalize gardens, take homeless children on recreational outings, visit the elderly, and much more.

Ross Runnels Holiday Card Fund
KSA alumnus Ross Runnels started the KSA Holiday Card Fund more than 30 years ago. He felt that the money KSAers spent on holiday cards to each other could be put to better use as charitable donations. Since then, KSA has been helping its favorite charities through this fund named in honor of Mr. Runnels, who passed away in 1998. Employees simply pledge donations and contribute directly to their favorite charities. KSA then sends a special holiday card imprinted with the names of all participants to everyone on its employee/retiree mailing list. This benefits employees’ charities of choice, while allowing us to send our greetings with a unique KSA holiday card.
