This holiday season, retailers will increasingly rely on ship-from-store capabilities to fulfill online orders, Steve Osburn, a director in Kurt Salmon’s Retail and Consumer Group, told The Washington Post. This logistical sleight of hand is largely invisible to consumers but is shaking up the industry by allowing retailers to react more quickly to customer demands.
