Kurt Salmon is pleased to announce that Brendan Fitzpatrick and Matthew Cox have joined the Health Care Group as strategy managers for the firm’s Cancer Services Consulting Team. Mr. Fitzpatrick has a dozen years of experience in progressive leadership roles within cancer programs and has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit arenas with private practices and community health systems with academic and network affiliations. Mr. Cox has worked with over 30 health care organizations to develop comprehensive cancer program strategies and services and joins Kurt Salmon with significant consulting and project management experience.

“Cancer programs are facing complex, multifaceted issues with considerable provider consolidation, rapid network development and pressure to advance clinical care, increase access and reduce expenditures,” said Mr. Fitzpatrick. “I’m eager to work with Kurt Salmon to help providers overcome these challenges and deliver the oncology care patients expect.”

“Kurt Salmon is unparalleled in their ability to provide clients access to vertically integrated advice and data-driven intelligence that will guide future cancer care strategy. I look forward to being a part of the team,” added Mr. Cox.

Mr. Fitzpatrick has a rich understanding of the challenges oncology programs face and has successfully led innovative programs and complex strategic initiatives in partnership with vested administrators and oncologists. Mr. Cox’s areas of expertise include cancer program development and planning, service line integration, physician-hospital alignment and financial feasibility studies. Both have worked with multiple stakeholders at various levels, including physicians, administrators and C-level executives at community hospitals, health systems and large academic medical institutions. Additionally, both have spoken extensively on oncology subject matter to national audiences and are actively involved in industry trade associations.

“With the additions of Brendan and Matt, we continue to add experience and perspective to our market-leading cancer advisory services,” said Farzan Bharucha, partner and director of Kurt Salmon’s Health Care Strategy Practice. “While the whole health care provider sector is undergoing a metamorphosis, we firmly believe cancer care providers face a unique set of challenges and opportunities which require dedicated expertise—Brendan and Matt bring almost 20 years of combined cancer care–specific wisdom to the practice, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them.”
