“I think in many of these organizations there needs to be a concerted optimization program,” Robin Settle, health care expert at Kurt Salmon, shares with Healthcare Dive when discussing the steps providers can take to improve EHR satisfaction.

Settle also recommends that organizations assess where issues are originating—be in with IT, operations or training—so improvements can be implemented. Further, she advises phasing out old legacy systems that people tend to use as a crutch and looking at whether they have simply put EHRs on top of old processes rather than evolving their processes.
