London, January 2012 –  Siobhán Géhin, who has worked for both Home Retail Group and ASDA-Walmart in a variety of senior management roles encompassing both strategy and operations for stores and online businesses, has joined the UK practice of Kurt Salmon, the specialist global retail and consumer goods consultancy, as an associate partner.

During her 10 years in retail, Siobhán has successfully made the business case for new concepts and had financial responsibility for bringing them to market and for growing sales.

At Home Retail Group she delivered a strategic growth agenda, including the assessment of potential new markets and acquisitions. At ASDA-Walmart she headed up retail operations for new businesses (opticians, photoshops, pharmacies and financial services) across 65 stores.

Siobhán has also had experience within the food sector, rolling out the KFC brand in Germany and in operations and product development both at KFC and Mars.

“Siobhán’s appointment maintains our practice of hiring executives with ‘hands-on’ retail experience so that we can better anticipate our clients’ needs and recommend the right solutions,” says  Helen Mountney, Managing Partner, UKI.  “In particular, Siobhán brings with her an in-depth understanding of the processes needed to drive a multi-channel business.”
