Nathan Burkland is a partner at Kurt Salmon based in Shanghai, China. With over 12 years of experience, he has focused on supply chain, market entry, logistics strategy, 3PL selection, facility design and performance improvement programs. He has also been involved with the implementation and establishment of new facilities, processes and systems. Mr. Burkland has worked with both direct-to-consumer and retail clients in the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. He has led Kurt Salmon’s Logistics and Supply Chain work in Greater China for almost eight years.
Karin Shenkar has more than 15 years of experience in the retail industry, with deep expertise in new market entry, G&A improvement, labor optimization, process improvement and store operations. She joins Kurt Salmon from Retail Resources Consulting, where she supported leading international brands in developing expansion strategies into China, the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Shenkar was also on the Retail Advisory Team at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has worked within the industry for brands such as Roots, Esprit and Gap.
