Jean Diederich joined Kurt Salmon Luxembourg (formerly Ineum Consulting) in 2008. Throughout his career of over 20 years, Jean has gained extensive experience serving clients in Luxembourg and the European Institutions from which he has acquired deep knowledge of European Digital Agenda strategies to help citizens and businesses to benefit from the development of digital technologies.
Jean is very committed to the development of the European Digital Single Market and the ICT sector in Luxembourg. He has been chair of l’Association des professionnels de la société de l’information (Apsi) since 2011 and he was appointed as Vice President of ICTLuxembourg in July 2014. His current focus is on GovTech, FinTech and innovation in payments. Furthermore, he participates as a speaker in international and European conferences (SIBOS, ABBL, FirstTuesday, APSI, AmCham, and other) and contributes to various reports linked to regulation, e-government, e-commerce and e-payments.
For a long time, he has been involved in topics such as the creation of the Digital European Single market (specific topics like the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA Regulation), the Payment Services Directive (PSD), the E-Money Directive (EMD), E and M-Payments, E-Invoicing...). He has also developed additional expertise in interoperability, standards, innovation and performance management of large programmes.
Senior Manager, Public Sector
Alessandro is currently senior manager in the EU Advisory team of Kurt Salmon Luxembourg. He is in charge of evaluations, impact assessments and policy studies performed for the European Institutions.
His main focus is helping clients with a focus on the policy areas related to the Digital Single Market. Some of the most important recent contributions of his team include the following: study on the role of eGovernment and interoperability in the European semester, and impact assessment and evaluation studies in the eGovernment, climate, transport and financial domains. He also provided input to the recently adopted Better Regulation guidelines with regard to the ‘digital screening’.
Prior to joining Kurt Salmon, Alessandro held several positions at General Electrics in Hungary and Netherlands.
Alessandro graduated from Politecnico di Milano and Norwegian University of Science and Technology with master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering. Furthermore, in 2009, he completed an Executive Master in Corporate Finance at Solvay Business School.
