Retailers across the industry turned in solid October comps, as reported in a New York Times article. The recent growth in comps is good news for the holidays, according to Kurt Salmon retail strategist Madison Riley. “You’re seeing solid single-digit numbers not just one month but consistently for the past few months,” he said in the article. “It reflects a steadily improving economy and therefore, steadily improving consumer confidence.”
