The stars may be aligning for bigger fashion and apparel deals in 2013, according to a Women's Wear Daily article. In the article, Kurt Salmon retail strategist Michael Dart said that boards that were hesitant to sell to a private equity firm could more easily justify a buyout now and that the recovery was showing consistent momentum. “You put all of that together and you start to see the right constellation of things … that would suggest a large-scale transaction really is in the realm of possibility again,” he said.
