Don't expect the same level of outrage around retailers opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day as in recent years, Steve Osburn, a director in Kurt Salmon's Retail and Consumer Goods Practice, told USA Today. His comments came on the heel's of Macy's announcement that it will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, two hours earlier than in 2013. "Consumers have started to accept that shopping on Thanksgiving is a growing habit," Osburn was quoted as saying. "With consumer acceptance comes more people shopping," he added.
