The story of one small denim factory in North Carolina illustrates a larger trend—an increased demand for high-end jeans made on some classic American machinery, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek article. “It is not a fad,” Kurt Salmon retail strategist Todd Hooper said in the article. “High-end [denim] is an established, growing part of the market, with jeans at $170 and above a mainstay of many brands.”
