Management consulting firm Kurt Salmon is pleased to welcome Bill Loftis as a director in its Retail and Consumer Products Group.

Mr. Loftis, who will be based out of Kurt Salmon’s Atlanta office, has more than 25 years of supply chain consulting experience, most recently with Tompkins International, where as senior principal he led the firm’s network planning and transportation service lines. Prior to Tompkins, Mr. Loftis spent five years with supply chain consultancy Chainalytics, where in 2010 he was named a “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine for his work advancing the use of meaningful transportation metrics by utilizing business intelligence applications.

“It’s an exciting time for the supply chain, as retailers and CPG companies no longer see it solely as a cost center, but through network optimization and advanced systems technologies, as a vehicle for providing their customers with the best service possible,” said Mr. Loftis. “I’m looking forward to helping the supply chain clients of Kurt Salmon, which brings deep merchandise and planning expertise and combines it with innovative, data-driven solutions.”

Mr. Loftis also focused on supply chain initiatives while at Deloitte Consulting, where he progressed to director in the Supply Chain Practice. Mr. Loftis received his bachelor of industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

Madison Riley, managing partner of Kurt Salmon’s North American operations, lauded the depth and breadth of Mr. Loftis’ supply chain expertise.

“We’re thrilled that Bill has joined Kurt Salmon,” he said. “His deep logistics process and systems skills are exactly what our clients are increasingly looking for when it comes to optimizing their supply chains.”
